About Strength Works PT
One Therapist. One Patient. Your Home.
At Strength Works PT the whole appointment is yours. One therapist, one patient, and nobody else in the room. Care happens in Hicksville and across Nassau County, in the house you actually live in.
Why This Practice Exists
The idea for Strength Works was built by countless patients who thanked me for giving them the attention they needed during their rehab. In a busy environment, the clinician’s attention gets divided, leading to wasted reps, flare-ups, and delayed results.
A focused clinician can help people rebuild function, strength, and mobility with greater efficiency and satisfaction. That is easier to do in someone’s home than in a treatment room, and not for the reason most people assume.
The part people notice first is the drive. Forty minutes of it, two or three times a week, often in pain, often after a morning of already not sleeping well.
The part that actually matters is what a clinic cannot see. A treatment room has flat floors, a plinth at the right height and a rail exactly where you need it. Nothing in your house is set up that way.
Around here that difference is not abstract. A lot of this county is split-levels and high ranches, with a half-flight between the front door and the living space and no bedroom on the ground floor at all. Somebody comes home from a knee replacement and the first thing they meet is those six stairs.
I would rather be standing on them with you in week one than hear about them in week four.
Let us show you the difference a caring physical therapist can make, all in the comfort of your own home!
Meet Dr. Said Haschemi, DPT, CSCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy · Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Dr. Haschemi is a Doctor of Physical Therapy licensed in New York State, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Those two credentials rarely sit together, and the combination is the reason this practice can take somebody from a walker to a staircase and then to a barbell without sending them somewhere else for the strength half.
“I go out for a walk every morning by myself. I don’t need a shadow.” Bob was 74 when an emergency cervical laminectomy left him unable to use his arms or legs. Two years on, he walks alone every morning.
What Concierge Care Actually Means Here
“Concierge” is worth nothing as an adjective. Here is what it means in practice.
The whole visit is yours
One therapist, one patient, the full appointment. No crowded clinic, no being handed off to an aide, no sharing your slot with somebody else.
The plan is built for your house, not a treatment room
Your stairs, your chair, your bathroom, the step down into the den. Your therapist works on the movements your house actually asks of you, in the order they matter.
You know the cost before anything is booked
No invoice arriving weeks later with a number you did not expect.
Appointments that fit around your day
Visits run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., so care works around your job or the person you look after rather than the other way around.
You can start with a direct evaluation
New York lets a licensed physical therapist evaluate and treat you without a physician referral. We will tell you on the first call what your own situation needs.
How Payment Works
Strength Works PT is credentialed with Medicare and Aetna. Plans differ, so call and we will check yours before anything is booked.
If your plan is not one we bill, or you would rather keep the plan out of it, you can pay for your care directly. Either way you know the cost before the first visit.
Where We Work
Strength Works PT is based in Hicksville and works across Nassau County and nearby communities.
There is no clinic. That is a deliberate choice rather than a stage the practice has not reached yet: the treatment room would be the least useful room in the whole arrangement.
What We Will Not Do
We will not tell you that you need physical therapy when you do not. If a short walk each day and some stretching would sort it out, that is a cheaper answer and you should have it.
We will not keep a plan running past the point where it is doing anything. When you are done, you are done, and we will say so first.
We will not take on something that belongs somewhere else. A new injury that has not been looked at, sudden severe pain, or anything that needs urgent medical care gets sent where it should go, on the first call.
Want to Know Whether This Would Help?
One Call Is Enough to Find Out
Tell us what is going on and what you are trying to get back to doing. If in-home physical therapy is the right next step, we will tell you what that looks like. If it is not, we will tell you that instead.
Fax: (516) 358-5359 — this is a fax line, not a phone line. Referring physicians can send referrals, signed plans of care and medical records to it. To book an appointment or ask a question, call (516) 357-4247.
